Fans attending the Chicago Cubs home opener this spring at Wrigley Field will find a new addition to their beverage choices while celebrating the start of a new season. Goose Island Beer Company has announced a new collaboration beer to celebrate the now “lovable winners,” 1060 Wit. The name for the beer came from Goose’s R&D Manager, Mike Sigel, who named the beer after the location where he and his father and grandfather would come to watch games when he was kid (the address of Wrigley Field is 1060 West Addison). Mike felt brewing an approachable beer such as a Witbier would be the perfect fit for fans to enjoy during the hot days in the sun at Wrigley field. This light and refreshing offering will be featured throughout the season on draft at Wrigley for fans to enjoy. The Cubs open at home on April 10th against the Los Angeles Dodgers in a rematch of the National League Championship Series.
